Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer Butter Masala is one of the most loved North Indian dishes, perfect for a hearty lunch. This creamy, rich, and mildly spiced curry pairs wonderfully with naan, roti, or jeera rice. Its velvety tomato-based gravy and soft paneer cubes make it a restaurant-style favorite that you can easily recreate at home.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g paneer (cubed)
  • 2 large tomatoes (pureed)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté till golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  3. Add tomato puree, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and cook until oil separates.
  4. Add paneer cubes and mix gently.
  5. Add cream, garam masala, kasuri methi, and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
