Paneer Butter Masala is one of the most loved North Indian dishes, perfect for a hearty lunch. This creamy, rich, and mildly spiced curry pairs wonderfully with naan, roti, or jeera rice. Its velvety tomato-based gravy and soft paneer cubes make it a restaurant-style favorite that you can easily recreate at home.
Ingredients:
- 200 g paneer (cubed)
- 2 large tomatoes (pureed)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté till golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
- Add tomato puree, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and cook until oil separates.
- Add paneer cubes and mix gently.
- Add cream, garam masala, kasuri methi, and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
